Libba Bray's Gemma Doyle trilogy (Victorian supernatural) would probably be my favourite YA historical novels, with Celia Rees' The Fool's Girl (Adventure story tied in with the background to how Shakespeare came to write Twelfth Night) also highly recommended. Good luck with the challenge!
Mara Daughter of the Nile by Eloise Jarvis McGraw.Hands down, my favourite HN, and although it was a hard choice, it takes the cake as my favourite work of fiction.
Hey, I was looking for this one! I'll definitely be signing up, too. I've got a long list of historical fiction to check out...TEN CENTS A DANCE by Christine Fletcher comes to mind. Anyway, good luck, and I'll be joining you.
Thanks for joining! Good luck ;)
