Thyme Gilchrest is on student council."Thyme Gilchrest is an honors student.
Thyme Gilchrest is popular.
Thyme Gilchrest is a drug dealer.
Like piecing together a logic puzzle, Thyme has organized a complex trading system that enables her to obtain the meds her friends need. They all come to her to diagnose their problems and provide the "cure" -- be it Prozac, Ritalin, Vicodin...She's therapist, doctor, and pharmacist all in one. She helps people. And that makes her feel a little more in control -- a little more capable of dealing with her own frantic high school life. Because Thyme Gilchrest is nothing if not good at dealing"
I saw this in a Chapters about two years ago and I still haven't read it. Prescription drugs are really interesting to read about, so I should check this out at the library soon!
Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
* Grab your current read
* Open to a random page
* Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
* BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
* Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
"The whole thing looks awesome the next morning. Huge and exciting and scary. Like something that would only happen in a movie.
Kids crowd around it, trying to figure out what it means.
Someone says it's a bomb threat.
Someone says school was canceled.
Someone else says the police were already here and it's not.
This other girl says how it's the terrorists.
So now I'm nervous about getting in some serious trouble."
