July 13, 09 Frogs and French Kisses by Sarah Mlynowski

So, yesterday, I wanted to read something light and fun, so I went for the sequel of Bras and Broomsticks, Frogs and French Kisses!

Frogs and French Kisses is about Rachel, whose younger sister, Miri, is a witch. But this time, Miri is set on saving the world, Rachel's mom is trying to get back into the dating game, and Rachel attempts to save prom, New York city, and her family.

I really enjoyed the novel. Rachel was more mature than she was in Bras and Broomsticks, I love Miri, and generally it was just a fun read. I got to know Rachel's mom a bit better, too. I really hope Rachel wins Raf back and I'm eager to read the next novel, Spells and Sleeping Bags, and find out what happens to the girls!

Emma Out!

  1. Great review.

Question: Do you have to read the first one to enjoy the second one?

  2. No, but I think it helps explain a lot. I'd recommend starting from the beginning, but I don't think it will change your enjoyment of the series.
