Memoirs of a Teenage Amnesiac is about Naomi. Naomi has a pretty good life, a devoted boyfriend, an awesome best friend, Will, and an obsession with yearbook. When Naomi goes back for the camera in the yearbook office, when she goes down the stairs, she trips, and hurts her head, which lands her in a hospital and she can't remember anything from the past four years.
I really liked this book. I enjoyed Zevin's writing style. I can't say I really liked Naomi, though. I liked how the book takes you in one direction and gives you something completely different at the end, but I wanted more clues to the ending. I loved Will, but besides him, I didn't enjoy any of the other characters. I think what I least liked about this book was how it seems so misleading. The description tells you one thing, you think it's about coming of age and that sort of thing but the book is more a love story than anything else. I hate misleading descriptions and I keep on finding them.
I'm planning to read Zevin's Elsewhere somewhere in the near future. Her books seem to have very intriguing premises. Oh one thing:
My very awesome friend Korianne let me guest blog for her because she has her finals for summer classes! Hope you check it out!
